Dem Staffer Posts ‘Don’t Miss Next Time’ After Trump Assassination Attempt

Jacqueline Marseau, field director for Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Mississippi), expressed disappointment in a now-deleted Facebook post that claimed a mass shooting in Pennsylvania on Saturday was a failed attempt to assassinate former President Donald Trump.

“We do not condone violence, but please take some shooting lessons so you don’t screw up next time. [sic] “That’s not me talking,” she posted, though some Reports.

She reportedly deleted the post, but screenshots were posted all over X.

Breitbart News reporter Bradley Jay reported that Thompson, who led the now-disbanded January 6 Select Committee, introduced legislation in April that would strip Trump of Secret Service protection if he were convicted.

Thompson called it “a law that denies unlimited security and government resources to convicted and highly dishonored former probationers.”

Thompson is also the top Democrat on the House Homeland Security Committee, which is charged with keeping Americans safe.

“There is no place in our American democracy for political violence. I am grateful for the swift police response to this incident. I am glad our former president is safe. Thoughts and prayers go out to all involved,” Thompson wrote on Sunday.

Donald Trump Jr. posted a reminder of Thompson’s bill to X, saying, “Remember, if @BennieGThompson and the Democrats had their way, my dad would be dead by now. Don’t let them lock it in your memory hole.”
