Pause for a moment and think about those on the political left: Bill Maher acknowledged that he was appalled by the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, but qualified his words by adding that others were hurt just as much, figuratively speaking.
“I unequivocally condemn it,” he said at the start of his comedy show on Saturday. [the shooting]I don’t care what you think about it. It’s not funny. I’m sure it’s a joke made by people who hate him so much that they wish it had turned out differently. I can’t do it.”
Maher went on to say that Trump might be the political winner in the election, but was also quick to point out the cost to his far-left opponents, who have lost their saintly status and “the moral high ground.”
Whoever did it has caused great damage to the left.
[The Left] We’ve lost a lot of the moral high ground with ideas like, “You’re a violent people” and “Liberals don’t shoot people, liberals don’t solve problems that way.”
He quickly added that it was lucky for Trump. “But I [Trump’s] Okay, let me just say this: He’s the luckiest guy on the planet. In 2016, he lost the popular vote by a landslide, but he drew the inside straight. [in the Electoral College] Everything was going his way to win.
“With Joe Biden as the opponent, the Democrats are in disarray. Lucky, lucky, lucky as always.”

The identity and background of the shooter who attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday night has been revealed, Breitbart News reported.
The FBI identified the shooter as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, but authorities did not release any additional information about Crooks or his motive.
