Trump Jr. Calls MSNBC ‘Clowns’ Live from RNC

Donald Trump Jr. on Monday, during MSNBC’s coverage of the Republican National Convention, said the network is full of “clowns.”

“He’s become even more determined. I think it took him a long time to change his message. He’s under constant attack. Times have changed in America. A lot has happened in 48 hours,” Trump Jr. said.

Reporter Jacob Soboroff asked, “Don, what would that change look like? In fact, I would even say your father was a divisive figure as a president. What would that look like in a second term?”

“I don’t think he’s a divisive person at all. I think the media has created division around him. They lied about the conflict with Russia, they said he was a traitor, they hounded him in every way possible. I think it would be a great benefit to everyone across the country if the media started to be honest brokers that talked about his accomplishments, the prosperity he’s brought, the peace deals he’s made around the world, rather than the disaster that we’re experiencing right now,” Trump Jr. said.

“I know immigration is important to the president. I’ve covered the family separation crisis extensively. Will a policy that intentionally separates 5,000 children from their parents continue?” Soboroff said.

Trump Jr. asked, “Are you talking about the Obama administration?”

“You know, they’re not doing that. Is there a second family separation policy?” Soboroff said.

Trump Jr. said, “This is MSDNC, so I expect nothing less from you guys, you clowns. Even today, 48 hours later, you guys couldn’t wait. I couldn’t wait with your lies and your nonsense, so get outta here.”
