Trump ‘Cementing Future of America First Movement’ by Picking J.D. Vance for VP

Former President Donald Trump is “solidifying the future of the America First movement” by selecting Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) as his running mate, Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) said in an interview with Breitbart News on Tuesday at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

“To me, Donald Trump isn’t just picking a running mate or a vice president-elect, he’s solidifying the future of the America First movement,” Banks told Breitbart News Washington bureau chief Matthew Boyle. “And it’s precisely because we have fighters like J.D. Vance who understand that what’s happening in America is so much more important than what’s happening in Ukraine, that we have to secure our borders, because we have over 10 million illegal immigrants coming into our country, taking our jobs, bringing drugs and crime, and that’s so much more important than what’s happening in the rest of the world.”

“…I couldn’t be more proud of Donald Trump and my friend J.D. Vance. He will be a fantastic vice president and a future leader of our party and our country,” he added.

Trump ultimately chose Vance, 39, after considering Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum (R).

Trump officially On Monday, he was nominated for the Republican Party’s 2024 presidential nomination with near-unanimous support from a majority of delegates at the Republican National Convention.
