Jeffrey Katzenberg Warns Biden Cash Is Drying Up as Donors Flee After Debate Fiasco

Most recently, Jeffrey Katzenberg promised to raise all the money necessary to get Joe Biden re-elected, but with donors abandoning his support in the wake of the president’s dismal debate performances, Katzenberg appears to be falling short of that promise.

According to Semaphore, Biden’s campaign co-chairman, Jeffrey Katzenberg, held an emergency meeting with the 81-year-old president in Las Vegas on Wednesday and warned that donations were drying up amid ongoing concerns about the president’s advanced age. report.

The former Hollywood boss reportedly told Biden that his path to another term is now looking extremely difficult.

Katzenberg later denied the report, saying in a statement it was a “misreading of a private meeting” and that he and Biden “discussed everything from the convention to new ads, and, by the way, we are going to raise the money we need to win the campaign.”

But Semaphore reported that Democratic strategist James Carville confirmed the report. “I can confirm this,” Carville told the outlet. “Donors are revolting.”

Biden has faced growing calls to end his reelection campaign after the president failed to allay concerns about his declining cognitive function. On Wednesday, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) became the latest Democratic leader to speak out against Biden and urge him to give up on the campaign.

Hollywood donors are abandoning the Biden campaign in droves.

George Clooney, Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel, Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings, veteran studio president Barry Diller, and lost creator Damon Lindelof. Rob Reiner, one of Hollywood’s staunchest Biden supporters, called on the president to “step down.”

As Breitbart News reported, Jeffrey Katzenberg promised last year to provide the deeply unpopular Biden with “all the resources” he needed to win reelection.

Katzenberg has spent months assuring donors that Biden is mentally sound, but now he is facing donors’ ire.

“Everybody is furious,” one leading Hollywood Democratic source was quoted as saying. “People are angry. They feel betrayed.”
