Former President Donald Trump claimed on Truth Social that President Joe Biden is ineligible to run for president.

“He only got into office through lies, fake news and never leaving his basement,” Trump said in a statement following Biden’s decision to step down.
“Villain Joe Biden is not and never has been qualified to run for president or hold the office of the presidency!” he said. “Everyone around him, including the doctors and the media, knew he was not capable of being president, and he was. And now look at what he’s done to our country, with millions coming across our borders completely unchecked and unvetted, many of them from prisons, psychiatric hospitals and record numbers of terrorists. We will suffer greatly from his presidency, but the damage he caused will be quickly repaired. Let’s Make America Great Again!”
Biden withdrew from the race on Sunday and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic Party’s new candidate.
