Montana Republican Senate candidate Tim Sheehy is calling for President Joe Biden to resign immediately after he announced he will not seek reelection, following weeks of pressure from Democrats to do so.
“The truth is, Joe Biden must immediately resign as President of the United States of America, because if he is not even eligible to run for president then he is not fit to serve as Commander in Chief for even one day longer,” Sheehy said in a statement shared with X.
Montanans will never forget that Jon Tester joined the left-wing cover-up and lied to all of us by saying Biden was 100% in favor.

He also began his statement by blasting his opponent, Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.), for claiming that the president is “absolutely 100 percent in favor” of a presidential election in August 2023. Said Montana Talk.
“Montana residents will never forget that Jon Tester joined the left’s cover-up and lied to all of us by saying Biden was 100% on board,” Sheehy wrote.
Sheehy, a former Navy SEAL, asked whether Tester’s refusal to endorse Harris “makes her unfit to be president as well?”
“The time has come to bring an end to this terrible era of American weakness and bring in a new generation of strong, America First leadership to save the country from the Biden-Tester agenda,” he concluded.
Tester, the nation’s weakest Democratic senator in a year when maps have been drawn heavily in favor of Republicans, called on Biden on Thursday to step down as the Democratic nominee. The Daily Montanan report.
Tester’s call comes as concern soars on the left after June’s presidential debate that Biden will suffer major losses in lower Democratic districts if he remains in the top spot.
Sheehy joined other Republican senators, including the Republican vice presidential nominee, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), in calling for the president to step down immediately.
Hours before Biden withdrew from the race, Vance said he could not justify staying in office if Biden dropped out of the race.
If Joe Biden ends his reelection campaign, how can he justify staying in the presidency?
Not running for reelection would be a clear admission that President Trump was correct all along that Biden was not mentally qualified to be commander in chief.
There is no middle ground.

“Not running for reelection would be a clear admission that President Trump was correct in his assertion all along that Biden is not mentally qualified to serve as commander in chief,” he said in a post on X. “There is no middle ground.”
Vance echoed a similar sentiment on Saturday, saying, “If you can’t run, you can’t serve.”
Anyone calling for Joe Biden to “stop running” without calling for him to resign from the presidency is falling into an absurd level of cynicism.
If you can’t run, you can’t serve.
He should resign immediately.
