Gov. J.B. Pritzker (D-Ill.) said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week” that former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), are “just nutjobs.”
“Voters are energized. Democrats are ready. You’ve seen hundreds of thousands of people signing up to volunteer. Our candidate is an energy bunny. She’s been everywhere the last few days. I look forward to seeing her in battleground states and across the country. I think her message will resonate with people. Of course, one of them is pointing out the differences between the two candidates,” Pritzker said.
He added, “I mean, on the other hand, they’re just weird. Really weird. The point they’re making is, of course, Donald Trump is afraid of windmills. He talks about all kinds of crazy things. You know, his running mate has made a name for himself for his obsession with couches, and his hidden views on a woman’s right to choose. And then, broadly speaking, he attacks childfree people, saying taxes on childfree people should be raised, calling them cat ladies. He’s apologized to cats, but he hasn’t apologized to women.”
