The Ohio senator and President Trump’s running mate has come under fire for disparaging comments he made about Democrats in a recently resurfaced 2021 interview.

In the interview, Vance said, “This country is effectively run, through the Democrats and the corporate oligarchy, by childless catwomen who are unhappy with their lives and the choices they’ve made, so they want the rest of the country to be unhappy, too.”

Vance defended his comments and accused leftists of taking them out of context.

“If you look at the full context of what I said, it’s clear that Democrats are trying to take this out of context and blow it up, as they always do because they don’t have a plan for running their own campaigns,” Vance told Fox News host Trey Gowdy.

“What worries the American people most is not some joke I made three years ago that was taken out of context, it’s the fact that Kamala Harris, the border official, has opened up America’s southern border. Democratic Party “Some of the policies are clearly anti-family,” he added.

He also clarified that he wasn’t attacking all childless adults, but rather the “increasingly anti-parent, anti-child stance of the left.”
