Identities of illegal aliens who allegedly attempted to breach military base revealed months later

Federal court records have finally revealed the names of the two illegal immigrants who allegedly tried to sneak into a military base in Virginia posing as Amazon delivery workers in early May.

The Jordanian nationals drove a box truck to the main gate of Marine Corps Base Quantico, near Triangle, Virginia. Blaze News As previously reported, the men were told to wait for further inspection after failing to provide security with their access credentials.

“This is clearly an unjustified invasion of personal privacy.”

The illegal immigrants did not comply with security instructions and attempted to drive through the detention area of the base, and police quickly set up vehicle barriers to prevent the men from entering the base.

Despite requests for more information from Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin (R) and numerous media inquiries, the Biden administration has refused to release the name of the suspect or confirm whether he was in the country illegally.

One of the suspects reportedly illegally crossed the southern border a month prior to the incident, while the other suspect had reportedly overstayed his student visa.

The Center for Immigration Studies requested additional information about their identities under the Freedom of Information Act, but the think tank said federal lawyers rejected the request, arguing it was a “clearly unjustified invasion of individual privacy” and of “minimal public interest.”

Todd Bensman, a senior national security fellow at the CIS, report Federal court records on Wednesday revealed the identities of Hasan Y. Hamdan and Mohammed K. Daboos.

Hamdan and Dabous were charged with trespassing on a military base, a Class B misdemeanor, which carries a maximum sentence of six months in prison and a $5,000 fine.

According to the indictment obtained by CIS, the suspects “unlawfully entered a military installation for a purpose prohibited by law, namely, knowingly and intentionally entering Marine Corps Base Quantico.”

The men were turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement after the May break-in attempt, but Bensman reported, citing court records, that they were recently released after agreeing to “specific conditions,” including “attending all future immigration proceedings and staying away from Quantico or other military installations.”

The suspect’s lawyer declined CIS’s request for comment.

May’s “Daniel Horowitz, Conservative Review“If this is a terrorist attack on a very symbolic U.S. military base, as I strongly believe, this would be the first terrorist attack on U.S. soil by someone who has illegally crossed the border,” Bensman said.
