“Tomorrow I’m playing in the Olympics and I can’t even pay my rent,” she wrote. “My school only sends me 75% of my rent, but they pay soccer players (who haven’t won anything) enough to buy new cars and houses.”

Fraley also shared a link to a GoFundMe page she set up, which has currently raised $14,646 of her $20,000 goal.

But it was hip-hop artist William Jonathan Drayton Jr., also known as Flavor Flav, who stepped up to help Fraley. Drayton responded to Fraley’s original X post, offering to pay her rent.

“Okay guys if you DM me I’ll pay you today so you don’t have to worry about tomorrow. I’ll be cheering for you tomorrow. Good luck!” Drayton wrote.

Drayton campaigned on Fraley’s behalf, along with Reddit co-founder and entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian, who is also the husband of tennis star Serena Williams. receipt He responded to the post by sending Fraley an X for a transaction of $7,760.

Drayton sent a follow-up post late Thursday claiming Fraley’s rent for the remainder of the year had been paid.

“Now that tweet has been seen by 10 million people, her rent is paid for a year and the people have her back!” Drayton wrote.

Fraley is just one of many Olympians who have struggled to cover basic living expenses this year.

Fox News Digital previously reported that several U.S. Olympians, including Fraley’s track and field teammates Fred Curley, Tara Davis Woodhall and Kenny Bednarek, have spoken out about the impact inflation is having on them and their teammates’ focus on competition.

“It’s the worst! That’s it. It’s the worst,” silver medalist sprinter Fred Curley, 29, told reporters at the USATF Grand Prix on June 8. “I feel like if I was from another country I’d be living like a king. But living in America, you see how the world works and how America works domestically. A lot of us struggle every day.”

Fraley isn’t the first U.S. athlete that Drayton has backed. He’s also an avid sponsor of the women’s water polo team, offering them a Virgin Voyages cruise and a $1,000 bonus, he told “CBS Mornings.” Early July.
