A Florida man was arrested after he threw spaghetti sauce at his mother, police said.
St. Petersburg resident Anthony Edlin is accused of throwing spaghetti sauce into his mother, Denise Kamodeca’s, hair after an “altercation” on Sunday, Aug. 4.
Edlin, also known as Anthony Fiacco, was arrested after the incident on suspicion of domestic violence and resisting an officer without violence.

It is unclear whether the spaghetti sauce thrown at Kamodeca was hot at the time. Edlin has lived with his mother for more than five years, according to an arrest affidavit.

After the incident, Edlin allegedly fled the home and hid behind bushes in the backyard to escape police.

According to an arrest affidavit, officers ordered Edlin, who was in the bushes, “Officer, put your hands up,” after which Edlin continued to run away.
The affidavit states Edlin was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time and was not suffering from a mental illness.

Edlin has since been released on bail from the Pinellas County Jail.
