Former President Trump’s plane was diverted to Billings, Montana, on Friday due to mechanical issues, according to officials at the Billings airport.
The Republican presidential candidate is scheduled to hold a rally near Bozeman, Montana, on Friday night and is expected to attend.
“I just landed in a really beautiful place. Montana. So beautiful. Just flying over and looking down, that’s the way it should be,” Trump said in a video from his plane posted to social media, without mentioning any plane issues or diversions. “I’m here to raise money, but most importantly to support Tim Sheehy, who’s running for United States Senate. He’s going to be great. I’m going to have a rally. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”

It is unclear whether Trump will fly to Bozeman or take a motorcade, local Fox affiliate reported.

Bozeman Airport CEO Brian Springer told the outlet that Trump’s plane had landed in Billings and that his motorcade, which was expecting to land in Bozeman, had already departed.
