Trump ‘Scared’ to Debate Harris, We’ll Eventually Talk About Two Extra Debates He Proposed

During Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “The Chris Jansing Report,” Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) claimed that 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is “afraid” of debating 2024 Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris, saying that after the Sept. 10 debate the two candidates agreed to, Harris said, “I’m happy to discuss other debates, but I want to make sure we stay focused on the debates that the two parties have agreed to.”

Garcia said:[L]Let me be very clear: Donald Trump did not want to debate Kamala Harris. He is afraid of it. He could not agree to a debate. Now, with his approval ratings falling, he has finally agreed to debate with the vice president. She will be in the debate on September 10th. And, as she said, she is open to discussing other debates from there. But we want to focus on the debates that the two parties have agreed to. And, of course, she will sit down and talk to more media members. So, the next few weeks will be good. And, of course, we have our big convention in about a week.
