After all, why should the right have a platform? What exactly is the threat? The left has most of the media, big tech, Hollywood, academia, woke corporations, and unprecedented donors in their pockets, but those pockets are not enough for them. The left is happy to have empty pockets as long as the right can put something in them.
What bothers them so much? Is it simply a fear that Americans would choose conservative ideas if they were exposed to them? There is evidence to support that. Or is there something deeper than that?
Maybe it’s something more insubstantial, as represented by Donald Trump and Elon Musk. It was just a conversation… both of them need Have.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that both men were considered visionaries in their respective fields before entering politics, but once they entered politics, both faced collective hatred that was too much for almost anyone to bear.
So why do they continue? Why do they talk? If you are Donald Trump, why face two impeachments, censorship the likes of which have never been seen before, criminal indictments, legal battles, a conviction designed solely to brand you guilty, and assassin’s bullets that the media quickly buried?
And if you’re Elon Musk, why would you cave to the free speech arbiters, from advertisers to the EU, who are hell-bent on destroying you? Why would you make a choice that alienates half the world when you’re trying to change the world through your many innovative ventures?
Over a decade ago, Andrew Breitbart spoke in Nashville about the “contempt” that the mainstream media has for the American people — that is, that the media elites feel they know what’s best for us. Add to that the tech moguls who control access to information, and that contempt grows exponentially. They all know the best of America for all of us..
Well guess what? Donald Trump and Elon Musk say Fuck you And to say it, they sacrificed lives that only exist in their dreams. Who on earth would willingly stand up to this kind of hatred and opposition? Two people with differing opinions on what America looks like at its best.
So what is it about this conversation that bothers them so much? Is it simply a fear that Americans, if given access to conservative ideas, would choose them? There’s a basis for that. Or is there something deeper?
Maybe it’s a passion they don’t recognize, or a fearlessness they don’t understand, or a sacrifice they’re not willing to make.
But in fairness to the left, they have made sacrifices: they have sacrificed integrity, tolerance and individuality.
