Former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick explained his reason for protesting the national anthem as “…stand up He said he “hopes” to represent the United States at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles “to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.”
In an interview with Britain’s Sky News, a former member of the NFL’s national anthem protesters suggested he would be willing to play in the game and may even plan to do so.
“Hopefully I’ll be able to play,” Kapernick said at the 1:40 mark. “We’ll work on some things and see if I can play, but I’d be happy if I can.”
Kaepernick’s annual PR stunt about wanting to return to the NFL is just that, a PR stunt, but it’s far more likely (given the stupidity of the world) that he’ll make the Olympic team. While unlikely, it’s far more likely and realistic that Kaepernick will be selected for the Olympics than to put on a uniform again on Sunday.
The woke forces that have infiltrated the upper echelons of the sports media and sports governing bodies undoubtedly have the power to make such terrible things happen.
And of course, they just want to shove it in the faces of patriots around the world by appointing this country’s number one flag disrespecter to take the infamous kneel during the national anthem on the world stage.
Won’t Kapernick be 40 by the next Olympics?
Yes, but if you throw passes to Justin Jefferson and Tyreek Hill, there are going to be open receivers.
Kapernick hasn’t played in a game since the end of the 2016 season after a year of refraining from kneeling during the national anthem.
Kaepernick was offered a spot by the San Francisco 49ers in 2017 but turned it down because he wanted a bigger salary, then turned down several more offers before making a big splash with the NFL for a workout offer in 2019.
Let’s just hope that the next time he takes to the field he doesn’t cause any further damage to our nation’s flag.
