On Friday’s FNC show “Jesse Watters Tonight,” Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) said: In the photo, she appears in a swimsuit. It recently appeared on social media.
The first-term Republican senator said he plans to “lean into that” as the American left struggles with a working definition of womanhood.
“I don’t know why this is controversial, but you have something. I think somehow the swimsuit has become controversial again,” stand-in host Will Cain said.
“It’s interesting that they’re trying to use it against me and attack me,” Luna responded, “but I’m going to lean into it. While they’re trying to erase motherhood, calling mothers ‘breast eaters,’ I can actually define womanhood. And by the way, they’re literally trying to put men in women’s sports, but I applaud the Supreme Court for making the right decision and protecting women’s sports today.”
“But while they’re trying to do that, they attack me because I’m wearing a swimsuit,” she added. “I represent an amazing, beautiful community here in Pinellas County, Florida, where we have some of the best beaches in the world, and I make no apologies for that, but what I want to say is that I will do everything in my power to fight for the women of this country, more than Kamala Harris.”
