Like many young voters, Ian Tan, a 20-year-old college student, was once a Bernie Sanders supporter, but several things have since changed his mind, and he now plans to vote for Donald Trump in November.
“It’s really hard to vote for a party that puts tampons in men’s bathrooms,” Tan said on “Fox & Friends Weekend” on Sunday.
“They allow boys to play girls’ sports and blame parents for not allowing their children to transition. So young men like me are becoming more conservative.”

Tang, a University of Illinois student and campus reform correspondent, spoke live with Fox News’ Lawrence Jones ahead of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago to discuss the dramatic political shift and the issues that matter most to her generation.
He said he was “appalled” by the state of affairs in the country and blamed it on “extremism.”
“Just four years ago, I was a Bernie Sanders supporter. I was a socialist,” he said.

He continued:[Once] “When I started to really look into the policies they were talking about, I realized that they were just promises to get votes… These socialist policies have ruined the country. They’ve ruined families. They’ve ruined everything. I really don’t want to see that implemented in the United States of America.”
Tan told Jones that it was “heartbreaking” to see America in cultural and economic decline.
“It’s not just about the economy. [Gen Z voters] “I’m concerned about the whole culture that’s changed and become more radical.”
As the 2024 presidential election heats up, the Trump and Harris campaigns are using social media platforms to appeal to America’s youngest voters, seeking to garner support from them when their vote is more important than ever.
According to the research institute CIRCLE, There are 41 million Gen Zers eligible to vote in this year’s election, meaning 8 million will be “eligible voters” by the time Trump and Harris face off in November.
