Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) said on Fox News Sunday this week that Vice President Kamala Harris’ approval ratings are “stagnant and flat.”
Host Shannon Bream asked, “You’re talking about your message, but it’s not getting through?”
“Certainly, Kamala Harris was on fire a few weeks ago, but our internal data shows that she’s calmed down. When you talk to people in the Kamala Harris campaign, they’re very concerned about their position,” Vance said.
“So why doesn’t that line up with another poll that came out this morning, the Washington Post, ABC, that shows the vice president leading by four or five points nationally? I mean, these are new numbers. So if you’re thinking there’s momentum going forward or your internal polling is showing a different result, every other poll that’s come out so far has shown a huge momentum going for her,” Bream said.
“Shannon, I think there are plenty of polls out there that show her approval rating has stagnated and plateaued, and of course ABC and the Washington Post did some wildly inaccurate polling in the summer of 2020,” Vance said.
He added, “Don’t worry about the polls. As we saw in 2016 and 2020, the media has consistently used fake polls to lower Republican voter turnout and stoked discord and conflict among Republican supporters. I want to say to everyone watching this, the Trump campaign is in a very good position. We are going to win this election.”
