Las Vegas Officials Forced to Investigate Voters Registered at Strip Clubs, Casinos, Gas Stations Ahead of Election

Election officials in Clark County, Nevada, which includes Las Vegas, were forced to investigate residents who registered to vote at addresses that included strip clubs, casinos, gas stations and other businesses.

The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) found that many Clark County residents listed commercial establishments as their voter registration addresses, a significant issue in Nevada because election officials mail ballots to every voter in the state.

Among the seemingly incomplete voter registrations listed by PILF lawyers were ones in which registrants listed Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club, a 7-Eleven, a Nevada gas station, Chavelo’s Mexican Bar & Grill, Harry Reid International Airport and a Mini Mart & Smoke Shop as their primary addresses.

PILF’s lawyers asked Clark County Registrar Lorena Portillo to clean up the voter rolls in June of this year, but when Portillo refused, PILF filed a lawsuit, which led to Portillo investigating and removing voter registrations that appeared to be incomplete.

“PILF’s lawsuit has forced Clark County to investigate the strange addresses of strip clubs, casinos and gas stations that are listed as addresses on voter rolls,” PILF President J. Christian Adams told Breitbart News.

“Without this lawsuit, mail-in ballots would have been sent to improper addresses,” Adams said. “If Nevada intends to continue running elections by automatically mailing ballots to every registered voter, it needs to do a better job of identifying improper voter registrations.”

Fraudulent voter registration has been a long-standing problem in Clark County.

In the 2020 presidential election, PILF found that more than 92,000 mail-in ballots sent to registered voters in Clark County were returned as “undeliverable,” representing more than 7% of the total 1.2 million mail-in ballots sent to the county.
