Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard said a “cabal of elite neocon warmongers” controls the government, not President Joe Biden.
Gabbard made the comments on Tuesday while appearing as a guest on Blaze Media co-founder Glenn Beck's radio show.
“They think that we, the voters, are stupid enough to fall for their lies.”
Beck was criticizing a recent Hollywood celebrity who said she would support Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris no matter what she said in an interview, after which Gabbard began to badmouth Beck.
“It's important that voters are aware of this. The more Hollywood celebrities and others say these things, the more it only strengthens their belief that we, the voters, are stupid enough to fall for the lies and charades they're creating,” she said.
She went on to blame Secretary of State Antony Blinken for turning the State Department into “essentially a war department,” saying it was former Presidents Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton who were actually in charge.
“[There are] “There are many others who are in on this plan whose faces and names you won't see on the front pages or on TV anytime soon, both within our government and outside of it in the military-industrial complex. They are a cabal of neoconservative elite warmongers who put their own power and profits above the people every day,” she continued.
In another part of the interview, Gabbard told Beck how she is helping former President Donald Trump prepare for his first debate with Harris.
“I know how she thinks and how she is trying to lure and trap Donald Trump into the narrative that she is trying to push for the American people,” she said. “This is really going to be an opportunity for Donald Trump to expose that to the American people.”
Gabbard represented Hawaii in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2013 to 2021.
