Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg released a statement on Monday acknowledging that Facebook was actively censoring information about COVID-19 and the Hunter Boden corruption scandal due to direct pressure from the federal government. Elon Musk's revelations through his Twitter files had already revealed that government agencies such as the FBI, CIA and NSA regularly asked social media companies to censor American citizens, but Zuckerberg's letter to the House Judiciary Committee provided the smoking gun.

Despite government officials admitting to meddling in the 2020 election and using censorship to silence dissent during the pandemic, no one has been criminally charged or fired. The only lesson the Democrats and the Deep State have learned is that censorship works.
The Republican Party is a fake opposition party, powerless to prevent the pernicious manipulations of the modern Praetorian Guard.
Once a secret police force starts rigging elections, things will get worse quickly if they don't act fast. That's exactly what happened in the US, but no one in the Republican Party seems all that interested in holding the FBI accountable.
Zuckerberg's letter revealed that the FBI lied to Facebook executives ahead of the 2020 election by claiming that any reports about the Biden family's ties to Ukrainian energy conglomerate Burisma were Russian disinformation. Facebook did not take the warnings seriously and suppressed the reports on its platform, denying millions of voters the information they needed to make informed choices during the election.
Other social media companies took similar steps. Twitter locked the New York Post account that published the story about Hunter Biden's laptop. We now know that the story was true, and the FBI knew it was true. But the FBI wanted to rig the election in Joe Biden's favor, so FBI officials used their power to lie to the companies that control the flow of information in the United States and influence the presidential election.
Zuckerberg's change of heart is great news, at least in theory: The billionaire has enormous influence over how Americans interact with information, and, as Molly Hemingway documents in her book “Rigged,” he spent hundreds of millions of dollars in 2020 to restructure local elections to favor Democratic machine politics.
If Zuckerberg now feels compelled to admit his past bias and take a neutral stance in the next election, that alone could change the outcome of a close race. Of course, it's entirely possible that Zuckerberg is lying and still sympathizes with Democrats, but if he feels pressured to act more centrist, that's important.
None of this should be seen as a victory for the Republican Party and its congressional representatives. FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Director Paul Abbate appear to have perjured themselves on live television while testifying about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump. It is now clear that the FBI attempted to influence the 2020 election by encouraging social media companies to spread lies and censor critical information leading up to it.
Democrats have no qualms about prosecuting their political opponents, as evidenced by their move to imprison Donald Trump for life on absurd trumped-up charges. But when Republicans have direct evidence of FBI wrongdoing, the best they can hope for from their supporters is social media posts declaring false victory. This feels like an embarrassing echo of George W. Bush's “Mission Accomplished” speech during the War on Terror, at least in which some jihadists were actually killed.
Some conservatives may not even know what a victory is at this point, so let me be clear: A victory occurs when those who break the law and corrupt institutions important to the rule of law are fired, impeached, or jailed. Simply exposing that the FBI lied to social media companies and successfully rigged an election to get their preferred candidate elected with no repercussions is not a victory.
This admission shows that the Republican Party is a false opposition party, powerless to prevent the pernicious manipulations of the modern Praetorian Guard. Only life-changing results can stop the pernicious actions of an elite class that believes it has the right to mold the nation in their own way.
It would be a mistake to call the FBI a rogue organization. A rogue organization is one that is no longer operating according to the will of the government. The FBI does not operate against the will of the U.S. government, but rather shapes the government itself from top to bottom. The FBI can lie about assassination attempts on presidential candidates, lie to media organizations, censor critical information to change the outcome of an election, and intimidate and imprison political opponents. This is police rule, a rule defined by its ability to lie and terrorize the American people.
By any definition, this is tyranny.
Republicans are clearly afraid to challenge the FBI in any meaningful way. Donald Trump hasn't helped much either; he seems more interested in building a shiny new headquarters than holding federal law enforcement accountable. Someone in the Republican Party needs to take this seriously now. The FBI needs to be dismantled from top to bottom and those in charge need to go to prison.
Without serious action, law and order in America will continue to deteriorate and civil unrest will increase. What the right needs is real political opposition, not the conspiratorial buffoonery that the Republican Party has waged.
