Six Shake Shack restaurants will close in Democrat-run California. explanation These locations are “not expected to generate acceptable revenues in the foreseeable future.”
Five of California's six shutdowns are in Los Angeles, which is run by a Democrat.
Shake Shack will also close one location in Ohio and two locations in Texas.
company Refused Leave a Comment New York Post As for the question of whether California's insane $20 minimum wage law has anything to do with these places “not being able to provide acceptable benefits in the foreseeable future,” I think we all know the answer to that.

of post A Shake Shack spokesperson told industry publication Restaurant Business, which first reported the closures, adding that the closures mark “the chain's first time closing a restaurant for non-construction-related reasons.”

This is what happens when a fascist government interferes with the free market.
No one is claiming that free markets are perfect, but like democracy and America, they are the best we could come up with.
When the government arbitrarily imposes a $20 minimum wage, especially in a state as vast as California and home to dozens of different economies (from the urban hellscape of Los Angeles to tiny desert towns), only bad things can happen: the cost of living will rise, negating the benefits of a higher minimum wage.
When businesses are forced to pay their employees exorbitant amounts like $20 an hour, two things happen: 1) employees lose their jobs, and 2) inflation occurs.

The Shake Shack news is all you need to know about people losing their jobs, but let's not forget that as employment costs rise, so do prices. Fast food chains, grocery stores, hardware stores, and gas stations all have to raise their prices to stay profitable. This increases the cost of living. Landlords raise rents. It costs more to fill up your gas tank. Food costs more. And suddenly, $20 an hour doesn't make you as much as it would if markets weren't sabotaged by a fascist government.
In the end, no one wins.
Let's not forget that there is another agenda at work in Gavin Newsom's California. Whenever the government makes labor unaffordable, a black market quickly emerges. The crazy leftists who run California with impunity know this, and they also know that to stay invincible, they must import Democrats from the Third World. And one of the ways to stop the illegal influx of Democrats into California is to give them jobs through the labor black market created by anti-American worker policies.
The Democrats aren't stupid, they're evil.
