After Vice President Kamala Harris was accompanied by running mate Tim Waltz (Democrat) in a taped interview with CNN, Oprah Winfrey claimed that “Vice President Harris is no longer hiding in plain sight,” adding that Harris's avoidance of the media is simply something women do to make themselves “small, narrow and invisible.”

“She's literally stepped into her true self. I think finally, for the first time, she's stepped into a calling that's been there all along and that she's finally hearing now,” Winfrey said.
In what seemed like an attempt to change the narrative by making it seem like it was completely normal for a woman to shy away from the media as a presidential candidate, Winfrey suggested that it was a “historic moment” that Harris finally spoke to the media during the campaign.
“She kind of cast a shadow,” Winfrey argued. “She was literally hiding in plain sight, but I feel like she did what millions of women around the world are doing in this prison.”
The billionaire also bizarrely suggested that Ms Harris's avoidance of unscripted media interviews since launching her presidential campaign is something women do to “fit in”.
“We make ourselves a little smaller, a little narrower, a little darker — to fit into the world and not make other people look less than they really are,” she said.
Harris finally sat down with Waltz in a recorded interview with CNN after 39 days of avoiding an unscripted press conference since launching her presidential campaign, Breitbart News reported.
Notably, betting markets for predicting the outcome of the 2024 presidential election were not impressed with Harris' CNN interview and have abandoned her.
