As ever, we’ve a ludicrous quantity of gorgeous sport for you today. Iona Winnifrith goes for GB in the SB7 100m breaststroke – and she’s 13!; Sammi Kinghorn, yesterday’s 100m hero, goes in the 400m; Olivia Broome and Mark Swan have powerlifting prospects; home prospect Timothee Adolphe takes on the T11 100m final; the men’s basketball semis are upon us; and we’ve all sorts coming at you from the pool.

But given it’s all already started, I’m going to shut up so we can dive in. On y va!

Main Events
The left-hander Toomey got going and served back to make it 2-6. She desperately needed the winning run but seconds later she was down 8-2 and Korkut needed three more points to qualify for the final.
I'm afraid Toomey is gone now. She is currently trailing 0-5 in the final, with Korkut having been relentless since going from two goals behind.
The women's T38 long jump final will also be held. Hungary's Luka Ekler took the lead with a Paralympic record 5.56m, well ahead of second-placed Colombian Karen Moreno with 4.99m.
We are playing in the table tennis finals. It's a tightly contested game but Korkut currently leads 3-0. Can Toomey stay calm and fight back?
The awards ceremony for the men's T13 400 meters is taking place at the Stade de France. So Buindel Bermudez won the bronze medal. No photos yet, but Colombian track athletes are amazing. Here's the Men's Long Jump T38 Final:
Returning to table tennis, Korkut won the third set and is leading Toomey 5-3, and looks set to advance, and deservedly so.
There are three riders competing for two medals. Jennette Janssen from the Netherlands, Annika Zeijen-Giles from Germany, Francesca Porcellato from Italy… and then Janssen started! She took off coming out of the last corner, Zeijen-Giles reacted but couldn't catch up, and Porcellato got away!
Lauren Parker wins gold for Australia in women's H1-4 road race
Great performances by great athletes. Minor medals yet to be decided.
And in the women's H1-4 road race, Lauren Parker from Australia competed. The rest of the swimmers now need to decide whether they can catch her or let her win the gold and pave the way for a silver or bronze medal for themselves.
I also watch T&F in the morning. In the women's F57 shot put, Algeria's Safia Jelal led the way with a Paralympic record time of 11.56, but athletes completed all six jumps and there are still seven competitors remaining.
Bligh Toomey, The 14-year-old wisecracker is in the table tennis semi-finals, leading Turkey's Kubra Korkut by two sets, but trailing 4-2 in the third set. If you have a TV nearby, I recommend watching this.
preamble
Welcome to the 8th day of the Paralympics 2024!
As always, we have a ridiculous amount of great sport to bring you today. Iona Winnifrith will represent Great Britain in the SB7 100m breaststroke. She's only 13 years old. Yesterday's 100m hero, Sami Kinghorn, will compete in the 400m. Olivia Bloom and Mark Swann are powerlifting prospects. Local hopeful Timothy Adolph will be competing in the T11 100m final. The men's basketball semi-finals are looming. There's a diverse range of athletes coming out of the pool.
But considering that everything has already begun, I will keep quiet and just want to get started right away. On y va!
