A 14-year-old Georgia high school student had a turbulent home life, according to new details about his mother's criminal history.
The boy's mother, 43-year-old Marcy Ann Gray, had a lengthy criminal history that included drug use and property damage, according to police and court records reviewed by Fox News Digital.
The teen suspect who shot and killed two teachers and two students at Apalachee High School came from a divorced family: the 14-year-old lived with his father, Collin Gray, and his two younger siblings lived with their mother, Marcy Gray.

In November 2023, Marcie Gray was arrested for allegedly carving two words into the side of her husband's truck and for possession of illegal drugs.
According to the arrest warrant, Gray was in possession of a glass bottle containing methamphetamine, a “baglet” containing fentanyl, another “baglet” containing multiple muscle relaxants, and a glass pipe “used to ingest narcotics.”
The warrant states she had installed a Nissan Kicks license plate to conceal the identity of her Nissan Rogue vehicle.
In December 2023, Marcy Gray was charged with using license plates to conceal her identity, second-degree criminal damage to property and criminal trespass/domestic violence and pleaded guilty.

Marcy Gray was charged under Georgia's first-time offender law, which allows qualified defendants to plead guilty without being convicted. Under the state's first-time offender law, Gray served the first 46 days of her sentence in prison instead of the full five years.
She was placed on probation for the remainder of her sentence.
A gun was displayed on video taken inside Apalachee High School, and an evacuation order was issued.
While on probation, Gray was prohibited from having any contact with her husband, Collin Gray, except to communicate through a third party about matters concerning the couple's mutual children, according to the documents.
The 43-year-old was also ordered to attend a domestic violence intervention program and to abstain from drugs and alcohol.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The mother of the boy suspected in the shooting had a lengthy criminal record.
Gray was charged with misdemeanor traffic violations in Forsyth County and speeding in Barrow County in 2014. She was also charged in 2008 with offenses including a 2007 DUI, according to the media report.
She took a plea deal on the traffic charge and was ordered to pay a $600 fine and perform 40 hours of community service, according to court records obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The suspect's father, Collin, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with two offences. Second-degree murderAccording to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), the defendant was charged with four counts of manslaughter and eight counts of child abuse.

Investigators have released few details about what role the father played in the shooting, but have previously said the boy's parents are cooperating with relevant law enforcement agencies.
The father and son are scheduled to appear again in court for a preliminary hearing in December. The mother has not been charged in connection with the high school shooting.
It was unclear Friday who spoke to the Gray family, but Fox News Digital has reached out to Marcie Gray for comment.
