More than 60% of Arizona Voters Support Ballot Measure to Crack Down on Illegal Immigration

Polls show that more than 60% of Arizona voters support a ballot measure to crack down on illegal immigration in the state.

A poll conducted by Noble Predictive Insights (NPI) from August 12 to 16, 2024 found that: Investigated There are approximately 1,003 registered voters in Arizona, and the margin of error is plus or minus 3.09 percentage points.

63% of registered voters in the state are Arizona Proposition 314Meanwhile, 16 percent said they would vote against the ballot measure.

Another 16 percent said they were unsure about the ballot measure, and 6 percent said they would not vote.

The poll found that 77% of Republicans support Proposition 314, 9% oppose, 10% don't know, and 3% will not vote. 52% of Democrats support Proposition 314, 23% oppose, 19% don't know, and 6% will not vote.

Among independents, 57% support the ballot measure, while 16% oppose it. 19% were unsure about the ballot measure, and 7% said they would not vote.

“Opponents will have a hard time making the case that people only support this bill because of the fentanyl problem and don't care about immigration,” NPI founder and CEO Mike Noble said in a statement. “That's what voters like most about Prop. 314. It's popular across party lines, and with just two months until Election Day, that trend will be difficult to reverse.”

Proposition 314 makes it a crime “for any person not lawfully present in the United States to provide false information on an application for public benefits or employment, to enter Arizona at any port other than a port of entry, or to fail to comply with an order to return home.”

Proposition 314 would also criminalize “the sale of fentanyl that causes the death of a person.”
