Rep. The Texas congressman told Breitbart that because it's difficult for anyone to fully grasp the impact of the border crisis, he has had his team compile information on the subject, including the scope and consequences of the open border policy, which was implemented at the direction of President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
“The average American knows nothing, the average lawmaker knows nothing,” Roy explained. “No matter how much attention I pay to this, I can't possibly keep track of it all.”
“Our goal was to consolidate this information in one place and provide perspective on key issues in the border security crisis,” he continued.

“This document reveals the breadth and depth of the damage our country continues to suffer – our nation has been transformed from a strong nation founded on the rule of law and welcoming immigrants in accordance with its laws, into a lawless, dangerous mass of people with no common bond,” Roy said in a statement announcing the report. “This document makes clear that immediate legislative reform and executive action are needed to save America.”

“Radical Progressive Democrats have unleashed the worst border crisis in recent memory, a fire that has spread to nearly every state and region of the country,” Roy said in his report summary. He called on Congress to act and outlined the benefits of House-passed Republican bills H.R. 2, the Secure Border Act and the SAVE Act. He also touched on what he called an “unlawful proposal” put forward by the Senate that would “codify an invasion and force millions of illegal immigrants into the U.S. every year, while leaving most of the drivers of attraction intact.”
“We cannot shrug our shoulders and hope that the next presidential administration or a miracle will end the border crisis and its effects,” Roy's report concludes. “There are countless examples of how this crisis has hurt our constituents in different ways and motivated them to defend our border once and for all. Now is the time to fight. Now is the time to secure our border and take back our country, as we promised in Congress.”
