Balthazar owner Keith McNally joked Monday that an alleged brawl between a crazed man threatening patrons and staff at his upscale Manhattan restaurant was the fault of his old nemesis, former “Late Late Show” host James Corden.
Footage taken by an eyewitness Several Balthazar employees were seen struggling with the individual as patrons outside the SoHo hotspot were treated to dinner and a show on Saturday afternoon, ending with the suspect being handcuffed.
At one point, the unruly man was on the ground and struggling with restaurant employees.
The suspect got up and struggled with at least several male store employees, causing several customers to flee.
The man was then pushed away but returned as the fight continued a block away from the French restaurant. Additional footage A video posted to TikTok shows the man being handcuffed behind his back and eventually sitting on the curb.
On Monday, two years after the pair first argued, McNally boldly claimed Corden was behind the fistfight.
“There was a huge fight outside Balthazar on Saturday night after patrons showed their support for James Corden,” he joked. On Instagram while posting screenshots of the showdown.
McNally is Corden's short-term ban The former TV host was fired from the popular Spring Street restaurant in May 2022 after being accused of mistreating a Balthazar server.
McNally launched into a rant about Corden on Instagram, calling the comedian a “little doofus,” but lifted the ban after Corden said he had called to apologise.
Corden initially denied any wrongdoing, but later admitted to being rude to restaurant staff during the show.
Authorities said a harassment report was filed Monday after a man allegedly burst into the restaurant and threatened customers. No charges were filed in the incident.
A police source told The Post that officers used a Taser to remove the man from the restaurant, and he was taken to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.
A Balthazar employee pointed The Post to McNally's Instagram post. Attempts to reach McNally on Monday night were unsuccessful.
