Former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio told CNN on Wednesday that he has “two reactions” to the shocking indictment of Eric Adams.
“They're probably going to sound a little bit different,” de Blasio said.

“One, of course, is the shock and concern for our city. And the other is a stark reminder that the American way is innocent until proven guilty.”

“I've been through a lot of things in the Southern District that didn't come to fruition despite suspicions. I think we have to be really careful. I haven't seen anything concrete.”
In 2021, Mayor de Blasio was accused in a scathing bureau report of misusing NYPD resources for “political purposes” during his failed presidential campaign.
He was subsequently fined $475,000, the largest amount ever.
