NBC's “Saturday Night Live” began its 50th season with plenty of humor surrounding the two recent assassination attempts on former President Donald Trump.
Trump's war room was quick to point out the eerie lack of taste this segment displayed.
He posted his displeasure about X and summarized it in one word: “disgusting.”
In the segment in question, Mr. Trump, played by actor James Austin Johnson, speaks to Republican supporters, urging them to “come back because it's fun.”
He continued: “We love my rallies, except when someone comes in saying bing bing bing bing to me…you know that happened because of the radical left rhetoric. ”
As reported by Breitbart News, “Saturday Night Live” stars Maya Rudolph as Vice President Kamala Harris, Andy Samberg as her husband Doug Emhoff, and Dana Carvey as President Joe Biden. The show kicked off its 50th season with a parade of co-stars.
“We have to stay focused,” Rudolph, who plays Harris, said during the show's cold outdoor mock assembly.
“If we win, we can put an end to the drama and trauma together and relax in our pajamas.”
