Gov. Tim Walz appeared to stumble during the vice presidential debate, upsetting Israel and Iran.

When answering the first question of the night, Walz (D-Minn.) appeared nervous and referred to Israel as “Iran.”
“Iran, er, Israel's ability to defend itself is absolutely fundamental,” Walz said. “The expansion of Israel and its proxies is an absolute basic necessity for the United States.”
Mr. Walz did not say who he believed to be Israel's “agents.”
Instead, he criticized former President Donald Trump, accusing him of displaying “fickleness” toward America's allies and remaining coalition partners.
However, Walz did not answer the original question.
In response to the same question, Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) said he supports whatever decisions Israel makes to protect its security.
“Look, it's up to Israel to decide what they think needs to be done to keep the country safe, and we should support our allies wherever they are fighting the bad guys,” he said. Said.
“I think that's the right approach to the Israel issue,” Vance added.
