Patrick Lechleitner, Acting Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement revealed in a letter Last week, Congress reported that 425,431 immigrants convicted of crimes including rape, murder, assault and drug possession were released into American communities. Rechleitner also noted that an additional 222,141 immigrants who were admitted to the United States are currently facing criminal charges in U.S. courts. These individuals are not currently in ICE custody.
This means that 647,572 aliens who have been convicted and charged with crimes are now free in the United States. Those who say the 222,141 people facing criminal charges are innocent until proven guilty are right. but, 98% or more Percentage of criminal cases that result in a guilty plea or conviction in U.S. courts. Based on these statistics, approximately 217,000 of the 222,141 people charged could be convicted.
Team Biden is more intent on “helping” foreigners than protecting Americans from threats to their safety and national security.
To put these numbers into perspective, boston The population is 675,647 people. Washington DCthe number of inhabitants is 689,545. cities like Rochester, New York; Richmond, Virginia;and spokane, washington All have populations between 200,000 and 225,000. Thanks to the Biden administration's refusal to remove ineligible aliens, there are now enough criminal aliens to fill a medium-sized American city.
You may be asking yourself, “How could the federal government overlook approximately 700,000 convicted and potential alien criminals?” The simple answer is willful disregard for U.S. immigration laws.
The Biden administration doesn't like this. Immigration and nationality lawLaws that govern when and how foreign nationals can enter the United States, and for how long they can stay. Under our system, if the administration disagrees with a particular law, it pushes Congress to draft and vote on a new bill. But that didn't happen with immigration. Even though Americans have repeatedly expressed their desire to Safe borders and safe communitiesthat doesn't match the Biden administration's worldview.
For more than three years, the Biden administration has assured Americans that: everything is okay At the same time, he transformed the Department of Homeland Security into a concierge and taxi service for border crossers. The government has unapologetically pardoned criminals. terroristand Lord knows who else He entered the country with a smile and told the people, “Don't worry, you're safe.'' All the military-age men who cross the border just want asylum and the American dream. In addition to that, We are carefully scrutinizing them all”
Of course, Rechleitner's letter shows that: Little or no review happened. That's not surprising. Anyone with experience in immigration will tell you that it is impossible to thoroughly test so many people so quickly. In fact, anyone with common sense should be able to say that. But when it comes to border security and immigration policy, common sense is lacking these days.
As long as the corporate media picks up this story at all, they will do a theatrical hand-wringing and try to blame everything from xenophobia to capitalism. But this problem stems directly from the choice to ignore binding laws duly enacted by Congress. This means the problem never needed to exist in the first place. The Immigration and Nationality Act gives the president more than enough power to restore order at the border if Joe Biden were to use it.
Doing so will ensure that asylum is secured for those who are genuinely persecuted by their home governments. The Biden administration is now making a mockery of America's legitimate responsibilities under international humanitarian law. We are not actually helping people facing persecution. Because a rogue CEO has illegally turned asylum into a “free border crossing” pass.
Anyone who prefers to be in the United States instead of their home country is taking advantage of our corrupt asylum system. Meanwhile, Americans are paying a price in both blood and treasure for uninvited guests—many of whom repay our kindness with violent and criminal acts.
But Team Biden is more intent on “helping” foreigners than on protecting Americans from threats to their safety and national security. Therefore, we should all ask ourselves how many more times there are. Kate Steinles, laken rileysand Rachel Molins Will it take time for the White House and Congress to gather their wits and do something to stop this madness?
