Elon Musk Declares ‘I’m Not Just MAGA. I’m Dark MAGA’ at Trump’s Rally in Butler, PA

“I'm not just a MAGA. I'm a dark MAGA,” Elon Musk called himself Saturday at Donald Trump's campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania — after the former president was nearly assassinated. He returned triumphantly to the scene.

Musk made his first appearance at a Trump rally, months after announcing his support for the Republican candidate online. “I just want to say what an honor it is to be here,” he said. Musk is a South African-born tech billionaire who bought Twitter (now renamed X) over concerns about free speech.

“And you know, the true test of a person's character is how they conduct themselves under attack,” Musk praised former President Trump.

A few months ago, a 20-year-old Pennsylvania man named Thomas Crooks attempted to assassinate President Trump at a campaign rally in Butler. A shot from his rifle narrowly missed the former president's brain and hit his ear. Three other rally attendees were shot, including former firefighter Corey Comperatore, before a Secret Service counter sniper shot and killed Crooks.

“We had a president who couldn't walk up the stairs, and we had a president who was fist-pumping after getting shot,” Musk said, drawing a comparison between Trump and President Joe Biden. “Blood is flowing from your face.”

“Fight, fight, fight,” he shouted, rousing the crowd with the phrase President Trump said when he was shot.

“this teeth no usually It’s an election,” Musk continued. “of other side want to take away your freedom of speech. ”

“Freedom of speech is the foundation of democracy. And if people don't know the truth about what's going on, how can they cast an informed vote?” Musk asked. .

“We need free speech to have a democracy. That's why we have the First Amendment. And the Second Amendment exists to make sure we have the First Amendment.”

“Trump must win to protect the Constitution. Trump must win to protect American democracy,” he said. “This is a must-win situation.”

“Register to vote,” he said. “See if they actually vote.”

“If we don't, this will be our last election,” he added.
