Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) announced Tuesday that authorities have found a man believed to have tied a dog to a fence and abandoned it as Hurricane Milton approached the state last week.
The dog was found near the interstate by Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Orlando Morales. When Morales found the dog, now named Trooper, he was standing in a large puddle due to heavy rain. In the video that came out viral Moments after the trooper was rescued, the bull terrier was in distress and initially suspected Morales.
“State Troopers yesterday secured and executed a felony arrest warrant for Giovani Aldama Garcia, 23.”
