Teen reveals disturbing reason why girls beat disabled man to death

Prosecutors called the 15-year-old on Tuesday to testify as a key witness in the trial of the two remaining girls charged with second-degree murder.

The department said it had been granted permission to cover the incident as long as the boy or his family was not identified.

The teenager testified that his sister recorded the group punching and kicking Brown.

Prosecutors presented a video in court that showed the girls kicking Brown and making fun of him as he fell to the ground bleeding.

One of the unidentified girls reportedly yelled at the victim, “Damn, I'm leaking.”

The agency also reported that the deputy chief medical examiner in Washington, D.C., testified at an earlier hearing that Brown's cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head, which caused bleeding in the brain.

As the girls left the scene, the 15-year-old said she realized what they had done.

“Do you remember what you were thinking when you returned to the alley?” Rogalio asked her.

“He's dead,” she answered.

The same 15-year-old is scheduled to take the stand again Thursday for cross-examination by the defense.

If convicted, the remaining suspects could be sentenced to up to 21 years in prison, the agency said.
