They also discussed Elon Musk, who has been welcomed into the Trump campaign. Mr. Glenn asked Mr. Trump if he plans to leverage Tesla/SpaceX/X owners if elected.
“Certainly,” Trump said, calling Musk a “great businessman.”
“He feels there is tremendous fraud, waste and abuse. … He could save a lot of money and make his life better,” Trump continued.
He explained that while Musk “doesn't want to be in the cabinet” because “there's so much going on,” he is interested in a role “related to the budget.”
“He's good at finding [waste]'' Glenn said, pointing to “the way he runs his company'' as evidence of his sagacity.
“He's probably the best at finding it,” Trump agreed.
“It really shows that he's the most capable human being on the planet to look beyond the horizon and bring tomorrow into today. Because the left likes you… they'll shut him up. ” Glenn added.
“They'll try, but he's so advanced that it's hard to shut him down. He's on a different playing field,” Trump praised, adding that shutting down Elon “essentially shuts down the country.” It will be closed,” he added.
