Democratic vice presidential nominee Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and former President Clinton campaigned in North Carolina on Thursday as early voting begins in the Tar Heel State.
Earlier this week, Clinton joined the Harris campaign, which has focused primarily on rural voters in southern battleground states. He rallied voters in the battleground state of Georgia over the weekend, appealing to black voters in particular.
The event took place as North Carolina, a key battleground state heading into November, begins early voting as it continues its recovery efforts from Hurricane Helen. Walz, Harris' running mate, is also scheduled to speak in Winston-Salem later tonight.
According to Hill/Decision Desk headquarters, former President Trump has a one-point lead over Harris in the state (48.9% to 47.9% approval rating).
The event in Durham, North Carolina, is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. EDT.
