In response to news that a reporter who witnessed Missouri Democratic Senate candidate Lucas Kunce shoot an AR-15 was injured, Sen. Josh Hawley (R) tweeted, “My grandmother was killed by Lucas Kunce.'' Good shooting,” he tweeted.
Breitbart News reported that injured KSHB-TV reporter Ryan Gamboa was standing there with a bandage on Kunce after the injury.
With the election just two weeks away and polls showing Mr. Kunce trailing Mr. Hawley, Mr. Kunce emphasized his military service and the fact that he shoots a gun.
After news that Gamboa was probably hit by bullet fragments while Kunce was firing, Hawley posted on X:
Elsewhere in “X,” on the day Gamboa was supposedly shot, Kunce was ridiculed for claiming that he had “a great day at the practice range today.”
X users replied to Kunce I'm saying“You idiot could have killed someone today. What brain-dead idiot would shoot steel at 10 yards with a rifle?”
Another X user wrote, “Please ask my son Tim Walz for a tampon to stop the bleeding.”
Still another wrote, “Wait, you shot a steel target with an AR-15 from that distance?” Good Lord. ”
