Walz, family members vote early in Minnesota

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic vice presidential candidate, and his family voted early Wednesday morning, filling out their ballots in St. Paul with less than two weeks until Election Day.

Minnesota First Lady Gwen Walz and her 18-year-old son, Gus, went to the Ramsey County elections office to vote.

“It's a first for Gus. He's pretty excited,” Walz told election workers at check-in. Later, another election official announced the “first-time voters,” and others in the room cheered.

The vice presidential candidate and his son high-fived each other after voting on their respective voting machines.

Tim Walz told reporters he was with him in Minnesota that he voted for Vice President Harris, but did not mention that he was a running mate.

The governor then spoke about former White House Chief of Staff John Kelly's remark that former President Trump fits the definition of a “fascist,” and that President Trump, while in office, referred to the military as “Hitler's generals.” He answered questions about a recent interview, including what he said he wanted to do.

“If there was a red line, he crossed it. So I'm grateful that General Kelly came out at this time,” Walz said.

Walz then encouraged voters to read the Kerry paper.New York Times interview And one more thingin the atlantic ocean.
