On Thursday's broadcast of Fox News Channel's “Fox News @ Night,” Harris Walz campaign representative Lindy Lee said, “Millions of people are flowing into our country through our southern border without permission. “My family and I have been on the right track,'' and “It's unfair for people to jump the line just because they want to.'' But Democrats have “very lax immigration policies.'' If you don't support it, people will criticize you.”
Mr. Lee said: [relevant remarks begin around 3:20] “I'm just going to say one thing, and I think I might — it's kind of forbidden in my party, there's a lot of things you can't say as a Democrat, right? It'll get cancelled. But let me tell you one thing: I'm a naturalized American, and I'm very proud and grateful to be in this country. That's the biggest thing. And we don't want millions of people coming into our country through our southern border. My family and I have followed the right path. We came, we submitted our applications, we waited. And we brought valuable skills. So my family has created hundreds of jobs, American jobs. It's unfair to jump over it just because you want to jump over it. There has to be an orderly process. And unfortunately, in the Democratic Party, if you don't support very lax immigration policies, people are going to criticize you for the most part. ”
