President-elect Donald Trump wins a landslide victory over Kamala Harris in Texas.

Texas Democratic Party Chairman Gilberto Hinojosa faced significant backlash this week after suggesting that the party's humiliating defeat was due to an obsession with gender ideology. Apparently unable to weather the storm, Hinojosa announced his resignation on Friday.
Hinojosa has led the Texas Democratic Party for 12 years.
