President-elect Donald Trump has attacked the losing campaign of debt-ridden Kamala Harris, urging Republicans to “do whatever we can to help them.”
“I am very surprised that the Democratic Party, which fought so hard and bravely in the 2020 presidential election and raised record amounts of money, has so little money left.” President Trump posted on X Saturday evening.
“Right now they are being squeezed by vendors and others. Whatever we can do to help them during this difficult time, we as a party and for the unity that is sorely needed. Harris has vastly outpaced her rivals in the 2024 presidential race, raising more than $1 billion in less than four months after President Joe Biden was forced out of the race.
Despite raising huge sums of money, the vice president was unable to halt Trump's historic election victory and still managed to end his campaign with $20 million in debt.
Her election eve concert, which featured Jon Bon Jovi, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, cost the same amount and now staff and vendors fear they won't be paid.
The Harris campaign also spent a whopping six figures building the set for her appearance on the podcast “Call Her Daddy,” which included a portion of Trump's appearance on “The Joe Rogan Experience.” gathered viewers.
$1 million alone was donated to Oprah Winfrey's production studio, Harpo Productions.
Staffers told the Post that the lavish concert was a disaster for the campaign's finances.
