President-elect Donald Trump's new border czar, Tom Homan, defended his plan to expel millions of immigrants from the United States, declaring on Monday that he “doesn't care what people think of me.”
Homan made this declaration in an appearance on Fox News' “Fox & Friends” after President Trump revealed that the former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement would be in charge of U.S. border security in the second administration. went.
Asked how he plans to deal with criticism of President Trump's border policies, Homan said, “Frankly, I don't care what people think about me, especially on the left.”
“I don't care what anybody thinks, like illegal immigration. When you create a crisis this big, all sorts of other bad things happen. That's why we have to secure our borders.
He added, “I don't care if you're a Republican or a Democrat or an independent because border security is national security. We should all be on the same side on that.”
