Authorities were baffled by a series of alleged “bear attacks” on luxury cars in California earlier this year.

Three insurance companies claimed they were defrauded of $141,839 in the alleged insurance fraud.
On January 28, an insurance claim was filed in connection with an alleged “bear attack” on a 2010 Rolls Royce Ghost in Lake Arrowhead, an unincorporated community in the San Bernardino Mountains. The reported animal is said to have caused damage to the interior of the vehicle.
