Woodbridge police confirmed to Patch that the four-legged friend is allowed to remain in the store because it is a service animal, but did not respond to The Post's messages Friday.
“This is a miniature horse, and as per the Americans with Disabilities Act, it can be a service animal,” Woodbridge Police Chief Robert Hubner told the show.
A Wegmans employee told the Post that the horse is in the store and is indeed a service animal, but that any other questions “should be directed to the company.”
