“If the Democrats lose, the Mass is over, let's go in peace,” host Bill Maher said on HBO's “Real Time” broadcast Friday. When Republicans lose, there are riots and they act like the election was all fake. This has already taken us to the point where we are not the country we should be or were. ” And it is “nothing to do with” that some Democrats are trying to tip the scales in favor of Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.).
“I feel like we're gliding around something that's really important in this world, at least in this country, which is that if the Democrats lose, it's over for the masses, let's go in peace,” Maher said at the outset. When the Republicans lose, they riot and act like the election was all fake. This has already taken us to the point where we are not the country we should be or what we were. is.”
Fox News contributor Mary Kathryn Ham praised Biden and Harris for their graceful concessions, which Trump didn't do in 2020, but voters were less likely to vote on Jan. 6 than Democrats. He said he was not concerned.
Maher replied: “But you know that's not what I'm asking. What I'm asking is, if Trump had lost this election, what votes would he still have in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin right now? and that he would have been taken to court. So…one side is accepting the election loss. The other side is not. We can't continue this asymmetry. And the people who are defending it are also saying, “We won the election, so that's it.'' You can't just ignore it and say, 'That's it.' ”
Ham responded, “Well, right now Democratic Sen. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania is doing exactly what you're talking about in trying to find all these votes. Bucks. The county commissioners are saying we need fake votes, we need them to get all the unregistered ones –”
Maher replied, “No, they're just counting.” Mr. Ham responded that Mr. Maher's claims were not true.
Hamm then said that while Casey is not the equivalent of Trump in 2020, “we have to recognize that these things happened.” For example, 2016 and 2000. ” Mr. Maher replied that this was not the case.
Maher then claimed there was an “asymmetry” when it came to accepting the election results. Mr. Ham countered that there was not as much of an asymmetry as Mr. Maher claimed.
Maher countered: “At the presidential level, yes. Okay, Bob Casey, no one gives a fuck, no one knows.[s] who is he? it doesn't matter. That's a stupid argument. It has nothing to do with anything, we are talking about the United States of America and who runs it and who appoints everyone. ”
