A fun day at a Southern California amusement park turned into a nightmare for several thrill-seekers stranded on a ride at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park.
A Knott's Berry Farm spokesperson told Fox News Digital that the Sol Spin ride experienced technical issues around 2 p.m. Monday, causing the towering revolving ride to stop midway through.

Officials said they followed the ride manufacturer's and amusement park's emergency protocols and safely evacuated 22 guests by 4:30 p.m.

No injuries were reported, but authorities said two guests were taken to hospital for further testing out of an abundance of caution.
It is unclear why the ride stopped working.

According to the park's website, “Sol Spin” is a high-speed rotation ride that rotates riders in three directions simultaneously. Riders on a free-rotating, floorless gondola can get the feeling of actually being in the air while being suspended and inverted above the ground.
