Two employees at a Miami tire shop beat two brothers Monday afternoon during an argument over work orders, police said. Both brothers were arrested, but one of them, a Cuban citizen, was reportedly held at immigration.
miami-dade police told WPLG-TV Pedro Luis Rodriguez, 40, and Luis Angel Rodriguez Candano, 32, came to Tire Liquidator Miami II, located in the 2000 block of SW 67th Street in west Miami-Dade, to work with its employees. It is said that they had an argument over it. car.
Rodriguez grabbed the employee's gun, hit him in the head and said in Spanish, “What's the point in killing you?” WPLG pointed out, citing a police report.
Police said Rodriguez began punching the employee multiple times during the argument, WPLG reported.
The employee then pulled a gun from his waistband and raised it in the air, the department said, citing a police report.
WPLG said Rodriguez-Candano lunged at the employee and began shoving him, adding that authorities indicated the two brothers jumped on top of the employee and punched him multiple times in the head and body.
The employee then fired three shots, one of which struck Rodriguez in the leg, the department said.

Police say Rodriguez ran out of the office to call for help, the department said.
Police added that Rodriguez-Candano continued to beat the employee once he got outside, then took the gun from Rodriguez and pointed it at the victim, WPLG reported.
Citing dispatch records, the department said medical personnel were dispatched to the scene just after 3:45 p.m.
Authorities told WPLG that the tire store employee suffered a cut to the top of his head and bruises to both arms, but was not taken to the hospital.
Police told the department the employee fired the gun in self-defense, they added, adding that the tire shop owner supports that claim.
The brothers who were shot were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition, WPLG said.
Both brothers face one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and Rodriguez-Candano also faces another charge of assault, the station reported, citing jail records.
The brothers appeared in Miami-Dade bond court on Tuesday for a second hearing, WPLG reported, adding that both required a Spanish interpreter and were represented by their attorneys who appeared via Zoom. Ta.
Rodriguez, a Cuban national, was taken into immigration custody and bail was set at $5,000, the agency said.
Rodriguez-Cadano was also given bail of $5,000, WPLG reported, adding that the judge ordered both brothers to stay away from the victim.
