Father of missing Hawaii photographer Hannah Kobayashi found dead near LAX while searching for daughter

The father of a woman who went missing in Hawaii while on vacation in New York City was found dead near Los Angeles International Airport early Sunday morning.

Ryan Kobayashi, 58, was in Los Angeles to look for his 30-year-old daughter, Hannah Kobayashi, who missed her connecting flight from Los Angeles International Airport to New York more than two weeks ago.

Another message read: “Deep hackers erased my identity, stole all my funds and have been making me anxious since Friday.”

The family previously said the emails purported to be from Hannah were not from her.

“She was scared and said someone might be trying to steal her money and her identity,” said her aunt, Larry Pidgeon.

“Weird, cryptic messages, things about the Matrix, things that weren't like her at all. And all of a sudden, we couldn't get in touch.”

Other footage shows Kobayashi at the Globe Shopping Center in Los Angeles' Fairfax neighborhood on November 9 and November 10, and when she returned to Los Angeles International Airport on November 11, but was unable to board a plane.
